A surprise guest joins us for this episode on ‘Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Lord’ by Celeste Connally (not to be confused with the similarly titled but infinitely less entertaining book by Steve Harvey). We meet the Twilight version of Sherlock Holmes, try to solve all the world’s problems in a single book, but most importantly – more white soup.

2.11 - Where the Words Are Made Up and the Plot Doesn't Matter

We close out season 2 with Addlands by Tom Bullough. It's a pace change from the madcap adventures of previous books, a slowdown to help ease us into the break. Will it continue the trends we've seen so far this season with romance and the search for immortality and, most importantly, are date rape drugs involved? You'll have to listen to find out. After a decade, Amy is finally forced to read Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan in this special Read This Coward episode. She gains some valuable insights along the way, like her unlikely kinship with the boob guy and her own propensity for joining a cult.

It's all love and war in this surprisingly on-brand pick for season 2 with Alec by William di Canzio. 

2.07 - Sad Sack Shack It Up
